We arrived at the Radisson and found that the front loading area is right on the street. There was nowhere to park and the employees were rude when asked where we could park to unload. Their comments were to drive around until we could find a spot. I thought it was a big mess until we got ready to leave on Sunday, when I saw the same mess except this time there was a bus trying to load up people and luggage!!! The inside of the hotel was extremely nice. |

After getting all the luggage upstairs, we headed out to find a place to eat. There was no way I was going to try and move my truck again. The entrance to the parking garage was very narrow and the parking spaces were painted for small cars. We would have been better off driving the Nissan than the Ford F-150. |
We stopped at the Corner Bakery and ate some tasty sandwiches. This place was located about a block from the hotel. |
Carlos, chills out outside the Corner Bakery. |
Maria showed up later carrying the goodies that came with the registration packet. |

Waco's CPA coordinator, Mark Mitzel maps out the game plan for the rest of the week. |
CPAAA members from all over Texas gathered outside for the Ice Breaker which was sponsored by Dickenson's CPAAA. Dickenson will be hosting the 2004 TCPA and Alumni Convention. |
|
We heard some traditional Native American songs and heard from the Buffalo Soldiers. |
Linda, Sharon, Elfie, Karolee, Mark and Maria enjoy a cool drink while enjoying the music. |

Buffalo Soldier, Igon, posing with Karolee, Elfie, Sharon and Linda. He was very nice and spent time talking to the girls about his interest in the history of the Buffalo Soldiers. Igon also gave a demonstration of his quick draw with his gun.

It was a hot and humid day. We decided to go eat again after the sun had set. Carlos and I went out walking the downtown area. It was great. We tried walking around the hotel but there were too many transients. |
